A brand new HBO documentary sees the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll reflecting on her roots and her celebrated discography. A teaser has dropped for “Tina,” an intimate portrait of Tina Turner that explores the chart-topping singer’s private triumphs and tragedies.
The spot kicks off with Turner revisiting the impression her mom’s abandonment had on her. “I wished her to return for me,” she explains, “and I waited. She by no means did, and it’s alright. You already know why? I’m a woman from a cotton area that pulled myself above the destruction and the errors,” the eight-time Grammy winner says.
Turner’s many hits embrace “What’s Love Received To Do With It,” “Let’s Keep Collectively,” and “Personal Dancer.” She’s bought over 100 million information.
“Tina” debuts on HBO March 27.
